Cosmos Infiltrators was my first group project I did, the group consisted of 1 other developer and 3 artist. We made a bullethell game set in space. I'm happy with the result, however I can tell looking back at my code that this was early on in my education and my way of coding has improved dramatically.
In the game you hold off against waves of enemy's of increasing difficulty. your ship has 3 hearts that regenerate if you don't get hit for a while. Your ship is equipped with a machine gun, rockets and a laser. If you manage to win against all the waves a boss spawns. The boss spawns ramming ships and shoots bullets everywhere. If you manage to win against the boss you win the game.
Overall i'm happy with how the game turned out, especially considering I only worked with unity for 1 month before this.
in the 4 weeks of working on this game I wanted to work the most on game feel, shooting mechanics and the enemy's.Β
I made the machine gun and the rockets, my other dev worked on the laser. Though I worked on the balance of the laser and the overall game. In the end i'm glad with how I balanced the game but I would've made the final boss a bit harder then it is currently.Β
I also worked on all the sound effects of the game. It took me a bit to add them all and have them work but i'm also happy with how the game sounds.Β
Overall i'm really proud of what I achieved in 4 weeks only 1 month after starting with unity.Β
